Pabst Theater

The Captain Frederick Pabst Theater, built in 1895, was designed in the tradition of the great European opera houses. The Theater's opulent Baroque interior includes an Austrian crystal chandelier, a staircase crafted from white Italian Carrara marble, and gold leaf embellishments throughout the building. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1991 due in part to its rich German performance history, today the Pabst presents a wide variety of entertainment, featuring jazz, classical, dance, choral, comedy and live theater.
